Kentucky Court of Appeals, 1991 - Present
Kenton District Judge, 1983 - 1991

 Court of Appeals


 Judge Schroder is currently serving
 on the Kentucky Court of Appeals
 where he has served for over
 15 years. On the Court of Appeals,
 Judge Schroder has ruled on over
 5000 cases and has written over 1700
 opinions.


 District Court


Judge Wil Schroder was a trial judge for the Kenton
District Court where he served for nearly eight years, including one year as a juvenile judge.


 Newport City Attorney


 Judge Wil Schroder served as the Newport
 City Attorney. Judge Schroder was appointed
 Newport City Attorney when the reform
 commission was elected, and served at the
 onset of Newport's early riverfront
 development (1982-1983).


 Private Practice


From 1975-1983, Judge Schroder was in private practice in Covington, Kentucky with his brother Robert, representing individuals in legal matters in a variety of areas of law. In addition, Judge Schroder represented the Nothern Kentucky Area Planning Commission, was a contract attorney for the Special Fund (worker's compensation), and handled cases as a Kenton County Public Defender. He also served two years as a Hearing Officer for the Kentucky Personnel Board (1981-1983).


 Law Professor


 From 1972 to 1975, Judge Schroder was
 an Assistant Professor at the Salmon P. Chase
 College of Law at Northern Kentucky University for its
 first three years in Kentucky. Professor Schroder
 taught property law, land use planning, and wills.
